Some applicants who applied for the Special Covid-19 SRD grant in April 2024 have not received their payments.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) announced that those who applied for the Special Covid-19 SRD grant in April 2024 will be paid from mid-June.
Before collecting their payments, applicants need to ensure that they have been approved for funding. Application statuses may be checked on the SRD website.
How To Track My SRD Application?
- Click here to visit the SRD website.
- Fill in your ID number and cellphone number used in the application.
- Select “Submit”.
Applicants may collect their payments from the following retail stores:
- Checkers
- Usave
- Shoprite
- Pick ‘n Pay
- Boxer.
When collecting their payments, beneficiaries will need to have their Identity Document (ID) with them as well as the grant confirmation SMS sent by Sassa, which states that their funds are ready for withdrawal.
Applicants may also choose to have their grant payments deposited into their personal bank account which may be more convenient than receiving them via retail stores.
