Parents and guardians hoping to secure placement for their children at schools are encouraged to do so before the application closing date. 13 days are left until the Limpopo Education Department’s closing date.
The Limpopo Department of Education opened its online applications to public schools on 24 May 2024. Online applications will remain open until 29 July 2024.
Parents are able to apply online and in person to schools in the province. All schools have been identified as designated areas for the collection and submission of application forms.
The department encourages parents and guardians to immediately collect application forms from the nearest school to their home, within a feeder zone, or where the other children are attending school.
When applying for admission to schools, parents will need to have the following documents with them:
- Birth certificate or acceptable proof of birth date (do not take a baptismal certificate as proof);
- Immunization card;
- Transfer card and/or
- Last report card
Those who are not South African citizens, will need to also submit the following documents:
- Study/work permit;
- Temporary or permanent residence permit from the South African Department of Home Affairs (DHA) and
- Evidence that you have applied for permission to stay in South Africa.
