Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) Finance Internships

Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is inviting all unemployed graduate applicants to apply for its ongoing Finance Graduate/Internship Program 2023/2024.

The successful candidate will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for the following:

Invoice processing in accounting software;
electronic payment processing;
Reconcile the declarations of the creditors;
processing journals;
Reconciliation of the creditor control account;
Performing bank reconciliations;
Perform internal financial controls;
Perform general administration in a financial environment; Y
Any other functions delegated by the Specialist or the Manager.
Minimum requirements

A 12th grade or matriculated certificate.
National diploma or equivalent at NQF level 6 in the finance and accounting field.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent at NQF level 7 in the finance and accounting field will be an added advantage.
Competencies

The candidate must possess the following:

Good communication and interpersonal skills;
An understanding of legislation and developments related to education and training;
The ability to work under pressure;
Possess a proactive attitude;
Proficiency in MS Office packages; Y
The ability to pay attention to details.
