How To Submit R350 Grant Application Without Phone

Are you hoping to submit an application for the R350 grant, but you do not have a phone? Well, here is how you can submit your application without a device.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) announced that the Special Relief of Distress grant is managed under the Social Assistance Act and not the State of Disaster Act since the country is no longer under the National State of Disaster.

Applicants are welcome to apply at any time as the applications are open every month. The Special Relief of Distress grant is due to end in March 2024.

Those who do not have access to a device to do the application online may visit their nearest councilor or community worker, who can help locate and identify the locations of the nearest volunteers within the community to help them apply.

The volunteer will inform the applicant if there are any supporting documents needed for the application.

Once the application has been submitted, the applicant will receive a successful or declined application status before the 15th of the month. The communication will most likely be sent via SMS.

Those who are successful will receive an SMS that will state when the grant payment is ready for collection. Payments may be collected from an ATM, the Post Office, or spent at a supermarket depending on the payment method chosen during the application process.
