1. JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Officer, Ivory Coast

Coordinate deliveries, stocking and dispatching at partner facilities and supports the general logistics function of BLC Africa operations.

General Duties:

  • Conduct Crop and market survey in areas under his scope
  • Support market intelligence activities
  • Leads operations and staffs on partner’s crushing/Warehouse sites
  • Oversees receiving the nuts into storage/warehouses and dispatching of nut trucks: ensure stacking are well executed in a proper counting way
  • Supervises weighbridge, warehouses, and other supply chain related activities and/or locations
  • Performs stock takes on behalf of Management at various locations in the West African supply chain
  • Oversees responsibility on production activities at the factories
  • Manage administrative tasks related to the supply chain: nuts receiving, nuts evacuation, samples tracking
  • Supervises seals management and administration and procedural compliance
  • Acts as a representative of our company and takes ownership of responsibilities
  • Supervises bulk shipment activities and supports fulfilling administrative requirements
  • Looks after strict compliance to QA/QC guidelines based high international standards, internally and externally
  • Pro-actively supports quality control: sampling, moisture checking, visual inspection, insect checks of nuts and butter
  • Maintaining and updating of field reporting
  • Directly supervises gangs and operators of 3rd parties in lie with your operations
  • Supports the Logistics Manager and SCM where needed

Responsibility For Company Asset

  • Has responsibility for the maintenance and effective use of office and other working tools

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Higher National Diploma in Supply chain/Logistics, Agronomy or any related field

Previous Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain or logistics or related fields
  • Experience in cooperative management is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Affinity with reporting and Excel (MS Office in general)
  • Experience in manufacturing sector and/or trading sector (Sheanut /Cashew /Cocoa etc)

Personality

  • Shows leadership in stressful situations, and is a real team player at the same time

2. JOB TITLE: Project Engineer

Join Bunge in this impactful Project Engineer role to help drive project optimization for our plant in Tema!

Bunge in Western Africa (WA) is a main global leader within the agrocommodities/Shea sector. In a nutshell, this position will initiate, plan, coordinate, execute, control, and ensure timely commissioning and closure of projects of our plant in a safe and cost-efficient manner.

What will you be doing?

This role has a crucial meaning for our WA business. You will become the lead for the new (in-house and out-house) plant installations. ‘A-Z’ project requirements such as yearly CAPEX requirement, documents and initiate applicable approvals, project scope development (FEED) and definite definition, it’s design and coordination will be a big part of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will be involved in project budgeting activities.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent work ethic, who is very structural. We need to ensure the project deliverables are met and on schedule, while raising concerns and constrains in timely manner to the attention of all stakeholders. Hereby, you are also to ensure that all the site work safety rules and regulations are strictly observed.

In this position, you will report directly to the Plant Manager WA.

What else?

Besides frequent monitoring and supervising of all project constructions and their status reports, there are some other important day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Reports & Process Design – project governance reports, tender documents in pre-bid selection, coordinate with project design institute and project team for project design and other;
  • Performing risk management to minimize risks;
  • Solving project related problems as soundly as possible;
  • Following up on contract and payments to vendors as agreed in signed contract.

What we expect from our Project Engineer:

A positive, trustworthy, and structured person with ability to work independently, but also cooperate with all levels in organization. Are you by any chance a member of Ghana Institute of Engineers? This will be a great advantage! We need someone who understands the industrial environment and has had 5+ years of similar experience and ability to work in brown and green fields.

Even more traits such as hands-on, proactivity, result drive and eagerness to find a solution to every problem are important.

Otherwise:

  • A Bachelor degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical engineering;
  • AutoCAD, MS Office + MS project, Genius and excel scheduler knowledge;
  • Fluent in English.

3. JOB TITLE Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Ensure day to day maintenance of all electrical installations/instruments used in line of production and performs routine maintenance, installations and integration of various types of process control and instrumentation.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Ensure there is available electrical energy in right condition during each shift, for purposes of production
  • Routine preventive/predictive maintenance on all instrumentation and electrical components
  • Carry out scheduled checks and generate reports on all electrical devices used in line of production
  • Resolve routine breakdowns of electrical devices used in line of production
  • Fault analysis and repair of hardwars relay logic, motor control circuits and all other E /I circuits
  • Assist in carrying out routine planned maintenance works on electrical devices used in line of production
  • Maintain housekeeping standards for electrical rooms/ areas and Installations
  • Assist as may be directed by superiors in carrying out installation of new electrical devices within the factory
  • Assist in operation of Utility units eg. nitrogen generators, air compressors, chillers etc.
  • Ensure electrical equipment/ power outlets in offices/labs operate and are kept in a manner not posing health threats to users

Knowledge and Technical Competencies:

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Have as a minimum; an overview of production processes
  • Understand Thermodynamic principles

Education/Experience:

  • HND Electrical/Instrumentation
  • Electrical Engineering part III
  • Experience working in a similar role 3 years is desirable
  • Membership and certification with Energy Commission and Ghana institue of Engineers will be a plus

Technical Skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation, communication and control systems malfunctioning.
  • Understand equipment functionality in relation to operation and production
  • Ability to read and understand E&I drawings
  • Have knowledge of PLC systems
