Millions of people who require monthly financial support have been receiving social grants from Sassa for the past 16 years. A payment plan for the following months has been made public by the government organization.
On a monthly basis, social subsidies are received by close to 50% of the nation’s citizens. In order to handle social grant payments (for permanent grants), the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) does so during the first week of each month.
The following schedule for social grant payments for the first quarter of 2024 has been published by the national government agency:

Because the Sassa Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) is a temporary grant, there is no specified payment date, according to Sassa.
Instead, SRD grant recipients will receive text messages with information on their grant payment dates and the option to verify the date they can pick up their funds on the official SRD grant website.
The SRD grant recipients have been asked by Sassa to exercise patience if they do not see their payment dates on the website because this indicates that the payment has not yet been completed but will do so shortly.
Selected sources will give Sassa grant beneficiaries payment dates as well as updated details should anything change about grants.
